Creating Users without admin rights

Hi

We are using Backup exec 12.5. we login to remote administration console with  a user who is a member of the administrator. but when i try to log in with other user who is non member of administrator, error message displayed acess is denied.

I would like to know, is there any way where a user without administrator can log into administration console.

It looks like they would need at least "backup operator" rights as well as an account in backup exec under "network", "logon accounts".  This would need to be the same as their network login.

Just like you need an accoutn with Admin rights to open the console, RemoteAdministrator also requires an account with Admin Rights on the media server

Used to be an add-on called Exec View that would let non-Admins view the job status and respond to alerts, but make no changes to the setup

That disappeared when v10 came out , and was one of the most requested enhancements in the old forum.  Veritas and now Symantec show no inclination to re-introduce this ability
