Creating a backup Folder

 When I try to create a backup to folder Media or a deduplication folder I get a screen showing there are no rescources.  I can't even see the server.  I am able to map a drive to the SAN under Networking.

I have screen print but was unable to attach it.

Your help is appreciated.

BE runs as batch so you cannot use mapped drives.  If you want to use an external drive, you should point to it using its UNC path.

Before you use the disk, you should check that it is supported by checking the HCL

BE 2010|2010 R2|2010 R3 Hardware (HCL)

Note that not all the disks can be used for the dedup folder.

To use dedup, your media server needs to be 64-bits.

To attach a screenshot, use the File attachments link just on top of the Save button.
