Crystal Reports Error

How does Crystal Reports work with Veritas? Everytime I try to do a new Log job, I get this msg being generated:

Report 0003 -- The job failed with the following error: The Crystal Reports DLL reported an error.

Can anyone lend assistance?

Hello,

We suggest you try stopping all the BEWS services and registering the Crystal Reports DLLs. From command prompt navigate to \program files\veritas\Backup Exec\NT and run REGSVR32 against the following (syntax regsvr32 :(

- crpe32.dll

- EXLATE32.dll

- p2sevt.dll

- p2soledb.dll


Run the report again and observe the results.


If the steps mentioned above does not work, kindly repair Backup Exec software by referring to the following steps mentioned in the technote given below:-

When I try to register the DLL's as you suggested I get the following error;

*.* .dll was loaded, But the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of *.*dll may be in memory.

Consider using Pview to detect and remove it.

Even tho I get this error I got this error the rpts are working and being displayed in Acrobat Reader.

Hello,

I have since repaired the installation but I am still getting the same error msgs, it seems everytime I restart the server I have to re-register the DLL's, what could be causing this?

I did not notice any errors during the repair and it went smoothly.

If it does make any difference I run 2 versions of Crystal Reports on my server, version 7 & 10.

If you are not at the latest build of Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691, we would suggest you download and install it using the following technotes:
