Cyclic Redundancy Error - only on Full backups

I have a weird situation. I have daily diffs that run and weekly fulls. The selections are exactly the same in both job definitions. The daily diffs run with no problem, but the monthly fulls have been giving me the "Data error (cyclic redundancy check" message. The drive has been cleaned and other tapes have been used.

Has anyone seen this before?

May have something to do with diffs checking the modify dates for each file scanned, while fulls just stream data.

I'd suggest starting with updated Firmware and Drivers for your SCSI controller and updated drivers for your Tape Device.
