I keep receiving this error message in the event viewer of all desktop I managed after installing DLO.

The description for Event ID ( 40000 ) in Source ( DLO Change Log Reader ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Hello,

Does the DLO option function well? Are you able to take backups of the DLO clients? What is the OS on the DLO stations? Does the error mentioned hamper the functioning of DLO?

Refer to the following technote which might help resolve the problem:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/233459

Revert if the issue persists.

It seems working. We are using Windows 2000 and XP Professional. We suspect this error is related to another error occurred. That error mentions something about insufficient disk space of desktop user data folder. However, we did not set any quota (either OS level and DLO). And there is more than 20G of free space on HDD.

Hello,

It seems the original problem regarding the error "The following information is part of the event: 2: The system cannot find the file specified." is resolved.

Regarding the second error on insufficient disk space, we suggest you to post it in another thread at the forums. This will help us in better managing different problems.

Do write back if the initial problem still persists.

NO, the first problem is not solved, I just don't observe any bad consequence. The error stills there

Hello,

This event log error is not really an error but an expected condition. This is a notification that the IPC connection was broken between the DLO Change Journal Service and the Desktop Agent, which occurs when the Agent process shuts down.
