We are running Symantec Backup Exec 12 with DLO version 338B61. We have been using DLO for quite some time now to backup our laptop users. Normally our revisions are set to 3 and I just noticed that several of my laptop users now have Network Data Folder sizes of 35+Gb.
I need to get those file sizes down, so I changed the # of revisions in the DLO Backup Profile that are stored down to 1 for each of the selections that are backed up (i.e. My Documents, Desktop, etc.). The problem is that I have not seen the Network Data Folder size reduce in size. For what it is worth I also checked off the options under the Revision Control tab for Revision Age to be 1 day(s) in the hopes that the prior revisions would be removed.
Can anybody tell me if the DLO option will automatically remove the extra revisions and reduce the Network Data Folder sizes or is there something else that I have to do?
