DLO and Japanese folders name in Unicode PST

We use Backup Exec 12.5 DLO clients on XP SP2 English, Japanese system locale, with Outlook 2003 SP3. The incremental backup of PST is used.

When DLO backups any email from an Outlook Unicode PST folder with a Japanese name (either in Kanji, Katakana or Hiragana) a new folder is created and appears next to the good one, empty, with buggy name. Usually the last part of the Japanese name become unreadable, as if DLO client could read the whole folder name.

Has this behavior ever been reported ? Is there any way to prevent it ?

We have the exact same issue, with XP Pro SP3 with Japanese Locale, Outlook 2003 SP3 English Version. Outlook 2003 Unicode PST file is being used, and incremental backup with DLO 12.0 .

It apprears that the problem occur when a user manually moves message from Inbox to one of subfolder which has Japanese name. New folder name with similar but garbled is created. This new folder does not contain any message and it is not backed up. This error started after DLO installation.
