Deduplication Option

My backup servers have 3TB of internal drive space for B2D.

I then have a single direct attached library with two FC LTO-4 drives.

Can i use the Deduplication option or does it require a SAN?

Im sorry but im not terribly familiar with dedupe but below is documentation that address best practice when using the deduplication option with Backup exec 2010

It does NOT require a SAN.  Simply an NTFS formatted volume.  Make sure it's fast disk, able to write at greater than 100MB/s.  Ideally 200MB/s.  The dedupe engine is rather slow being single threaded and most often disk bound.
