Delete old .BKF files in the BEData folder

Vince_G
Not applicable

I have a Backup Exec 2012 installation, and in the BEData folder i noticed that there are many .bkf files from 2013. 603 gigs to be exact and want to know if there is a process to delete these files from the folder with out a negative consaquence. Can you simply right click and delete? Will this update any catalogs that reference the files i delete? Is there a tool that i can use to delete them?

Thanks

V

You should not just delete them from the disk. This might leave orphaned entries in the BE console. First check from the console when is the earliest backup set that you have in that disk storage. You can then delete the files older than that date
