Deleting a server from the device list

I have transfered a database from a BackUp Exec 12.5 server to a BackUp Exec 2010 server. Part of the process for transering the database (described at seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/319367.htm ) is to rigth click on the old server and select delete to remove it.

The problem I have is that delete is greyed out and I cannot delete the server.

Can anyone help?

Hello,

If you are trying to delete the server from the selection list, open the selection list and click on view by resource select the server and delete it.

Hope this helps...

I can;t seem to find the option to change the view to view by resource.

To further explain myself, here is a screenshot of what I have:

BackUpExec.jpg

I have 2 servers, Triton is the new BackUp Exec 2010 server and Poseidon is the old Backup Exec 12.5 server. I have copied the database over from Poseidon to Triton and that part is working. What I want to do is delete Poseidon from the list completely, but when I right click on it delete is greyed out.

The Tape Library I am using (the MSL2024) is the same one that was attached to Poseidon, which is why I want to delete Poseidon from the list.

Any help would be appreciated.
