Device Error = 1101 in SGMon

I'm getting a number of these errors which do not show in the Event Log or cause Backup Exec 10d to fail, but nevertheless do appear in the SGMon log. What exactly is causing these soft errors? Is there any available documentation on the interpretation of SGMon results?

That's normal functionality for tape backup. It merely means that either an end of set or end of media has been reached. If you're having job failures, they're not related to anything in this SGMON excerpt. If you're seeing tape drive soft errors reported in the job log these are a result of an error flag sent by the tape device.

Thanks Russ, that was very helpful. We are having some random failures, and are running SGMon every night in the hope of capturing one. In the meantime, I have been perusing the SGMon output to get familiar with it, and that's when I noticed the 1101's.
