Device-Specific error

I've got the latest Eval copy of 10d downloaded and installed. I have a NAS device that seems to have some hacked/non standard OS. When I attempt to browse the device to set up a job, I am getting:

An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of \\dumbo\
data. A device-specific error occurred.

You may refer to the following technote

(title) While attempting to backup a Quantum Snap! Server, the message "A Device Specific Error Has Occurred" appears. The may happen during the backup, or when attempting the select the server while creating a job definition.
