We recently installed a new HP Proliant ML350 G5 server with a VS160 tape drive. Operating system is NetWare 6.5 SP7, Backup Exec version is 9.2 build 1401.5. We are getting the following error:
Device does not support current operation (24635)
Every backup has this error on it, despite finishing successfully. The error refers to tape retensioning, which is apparently not supported with this drive.
However, I have checked the tape retension option, and it is not selected. It has never been selected. I have reinstalled the software and get the same error.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I realize that it is a cosmetic error, but I have a very nervous on-site tech who keeps haranguing me about this.
