Hi I have an unusual issue as follows. Veritas Backup Exec 10 with SP5 applied
All Data to be backed up is located on a separate partition on the Hard Disk (D:\Squires & Co). No Windows components are included in the backup. The backup is successful in backing up the Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes, however it is not successful backing up any of the data in D:\Squires & Co folder. It fails all the time with the error “Directory could not be found or accessed, None of the contents will be backed up. I have referred to the Knowledge base yet none of the documents are either not relevant or not applicable to this scenario. Note that I have removed any restrictions on the folders to be backed up and the Credentials Check within Backup Exec are successful.
Steps taken so far
1. Added Desktop & Laptop Agent Licence
2. Restarted BackupExec Services
3. Attempted Backup of one folder from d:\squires & co on the D (Local) Drive
4. Failed with result Directory could not be found or accessed
5. Attempted Backup of one file from d:\squires & co
6. Failed with result Directory could not be found or accessed
7. Created Backup To Disk Folder
8. Attempted Backup of one folder from d:\squires & co to Backup to Disk Folder
9. Failed with result Directory could not be found or accessed
10. Attempted Backup of one file from d:\squires & co to backup to Disk Folder
11. Failed with result Directory could not be found or accessed
12. Downloaded & Installed Service Pack 5 for Veritas BackupExec 10.0
13. Restarted Server
14. Attempted backup of one folder from d:\Squires & Co
15. Attempted to use NTBackup.EXE and it will backup to a disk
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Take the Symantec Veritas 10d build 5629 + sp1 + hotfix and all will work. 10.0.Update will be free to use the same keys as 10.0. 10d.Agents only need to update the same after the change of 10.0 to 10d.
