Does backup exec 9.1 work with autodesk vault?

I'am running Backup exec 9.1 on our server(SBS2003) and I wonder if it can be used with Autodesk vault 4?

Hi,

Currently there are no any known issues of Backup Exec with the Autodesk software.

However this has also not been specifically tested with Backup Exec. It might work.

Vault uses MS SQL database and the filesystem.
As cut and pasted from autodesk support.
"Vault files are written to the file store while the metadata for those files are stored in the SQL database. Thus, if the DB and the file store are "copied" manually you may end up with the two not matching and there's just too much chance for error involved to use that as a safe mechanism to backup your Vault."

As stated earlier, this has also not been specifically tested with Backup Exec. However you may try the backup and revert with the resluts.
