Is there a process to go back to version 11d of backup exec from version 12.5. We are having some issues with 12.5 and want to downgrade back to 11d. Thanks for your help.

Last time I upgraded (to v11), part of the process was to create a backup directory for the catalogs & job config. If the v12.x upgrade does the same, you should be in good shape. Uninstall everything, install your old v11, stop all BE services, copy over the backups, and restart all BE services.
If you have no on-line backups, then I'd second Ken's suggestion to look on tape.
Care to share what issues you're seeing?
