We are currently using Backup Exec 11d, we are backing up to removable hard drives I would like to change the labels on the hard drives from the Windows Default of "New Volume" to a more descriptive name "1st of month backup", "7th of month backup" will this break or cause issues with our backup programs?
No, it shouldn't. Only if you rename a B2D folder, or move that folder to another drive.
Renaming drives on an OS level will have no impact. A B2D folder is chosen based on drive letter, not friendly name.
