Duplicate to CASO

Hi Craig,

   We are in the stage of applying the cocept to production. I notice, job created in CASO is able to do duplicate to tape drive attached to the CASO. However job created at MMS is unable to. Is that means we have to move all job to our CASO?

It doesn't matter your Data/Catalogs are held...an MMS cannot duplicate or backup to a CASO. This has to be initiated on the CASO itself, as it will control all the actions on the MMS.

Where are your Data/Catalogs located? On the MMS only? Replicated between the MMS and CASO? Or on the CASO? If on the CASO you should be looking at putting in a stage to duplicate from the MMS to the tape drive on the CASO.

If the MMS backup target is a dedupe store, the data will be rehydrated to the original size so bear this in mind.
