End Marker Unreadable errors when tape gets full after upgrade to 12

After upgrading to 12 I now get a "End Marker Unreadable" on every tape.
By size I believe it get to End Of Tape which causes the error.
I have a Quantum Autoloader 3 with a DLT-S4 drive.
Thanks

Are you using the Symantec Drivers?  (Symantec has not posted a new driver pack, so what is in the install media you have is all  there is)
Have you tried OEM drivers?

Have you run a few passes of the manufacturer's diagnotics?

This did not start until I upgraded to 12. I am using the Symantec drivers as I was when using 11D. I have no other problems with the Autoloader at all. No read/write etc errors, just "End mark Unreadable" on "4" different tapes of which some are old and some are new.

I can try the OEM drivers this weekend. This is when I use 3 or 4 tapes.

Were you able to resolve this?

I'm having a similar problem with a Quantum SuperLoader3 with a DLT-S4 drive when the backup exceeds a tape. It's seems that BackupExec 11D was using a smaller tape capacity (745.0 GB) than BackupExec 12 (745.1 GB).

I have tried:-
  • upgraded library firmware to v61.
  • OEM drivers which worked fine for BackupExec 11D
  • Symantec Drivers
  • Updated OEM Drivers from MS Update website
