Error 1606 upgrading backup exec 12.5 sp3 to Backup exec 2010

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my Backup Exec 12.5 sp3 running on windows 2008 server 64 bit to Backup exec 2010.

During the install it tells me that there is error 1606 and that I cannot access the administrators my documents folder, all I can do at this point is to cancel the install.

The only agent that I am running and also want to upgrade is the SQL agent.

What account are you running the Upgrade as? 

Can you browse to that folder in Explorer logged in as that account?

I am logged on as the domain admin for the domain and yes I can see the directory.

I have taken another look and I think it is due to the folder re-direction policy which is left over from an sbs 2003 server being in the domain. I dont want to remove it as it may upset the client p.c's.

Has anyone seen this error?.

You can try to login on the server with another account which has Domain Admin credentials and then run the Installation.
