Error_CRC

I am using veritas 9.1 and am sparatically getting a generic CRC error. In the event viewer the error is "Unload Rewind Failure" I have looked at the solutions on veritas but wonder if you have any more information for this specific error. It happens on different tapes at different times.

Hello,

Since when do you get these errors? Are you performing any specific media operations when the errors occur like inventory,eject ? Refer to the following technote in order to resolve the problem:

Title: "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" is reported in the Backup Exec job log during a failed backup/verify operation

Hope this helps. If the issues persists, as mentioned, check with the hardware manufacturer.
