Hi,

When a synthetic backup write to the tape, error V-79-57344-33035 occurred. Baseline goes to B2D folder 1 and incremental to B2D folder 2. BE is 10d German on Windows Server 2003 German.

Can anyone confirm this is a bug from BE?

Thanks

Sven

Hello,

What error message do you get along with the code V-79-57344-33035 ? Does the job fail? Also check if you get any errors in the backup exec alertstab or in the Windows event logs.

The following technote can help resolve the problem:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/255501

Revert with details if the issue persists.

Hello,

No other error code and the job fail. No error in event log.

I am pretty sure it is a bug, i have no tape library und the tape runs fine on other jobs.

Hello,

Does this error occur only on synthetic backup jobs? What tape are you using for the backup? There is no such known issue which could claim it to be a bug.
Try the following:

- upgrade the device firmware, if there is any available
- update to the latest device drivers
- try the job on another tape and verify the results.
