Error installing sp1

I upgraded to 10.0. I tried to install the sp1 service pack.
I am getting the following error:

"VERITAS Backup Exec for Windows Servers -- Error 1324.The path BackupExec V. 10 contains an invalid character."

I have checked the rights on the folder (per a Veritas Tech) and everything seems fine. I even get this error trying to do a "silent install".

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

In order to isolate the issue, perform the following and verify the results:

- Perform a repair installation.
- After performing the repair installation, download Service pack 1again from the following link:
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275248.htm
- Perform installation of service pack 1. Verify the results.

We hope this will help.

Thanks.

I was finally able to isolate and fix the problem (with the help of a Veritas Tech). The error occured because of the naming convention I used when creating an installation CD to use to upgrade. I used "BackupExec V.10". Because the name had spaces in it, the sp1 would not install because of the "invalid character" (the space in the name). I had to rename the folder, copy the entire file to the hard drive, then change the registry settings to point at the new folder on the hard drive. I then re-ran the sp1 executable and it worked fine.
