Hi!
I have installed Backup Exec 12.5 for Windows Server onto one server where the operating system is Windows Server 2008. The server sits into a domain where the domain controller runs over Windows Server 2003 (Active Directory, DHCP etc).
My big problem is that I cannot backup my Exchange 2007 server from the BE Application as I always take the following errors:
Backup- \\mailserver.aristomain.com\E:
V-79-57344-65286 - To back up Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you must install the Exchange Manage... V-79-57344-65286 - To back up Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you must install the Exchange Manageme...
Backup- \\mailserver.aristomain.com\System?State
The .DR file that is required for Intelligent Disaster Recovery is not updated.
Please advice. It is risky for me to install AD into Windows Server 2008 as I should uptrade the Schema of the Active Directory to 2008 for my Domain Controller which runs over 2003. Is there any alternative way? Because when installing Exchange Management Tools onto the Windows Server 2008 it askes for contact with AD (Active Directory)
