Exchange 2003 Test Restore

Hi,
I am planning on doing a test restore of Exchange 2003 with Backup Exec 11d. I was wondering if there is any online docuemenation that outlines all the steps that need to be taken during this process. If not, can somebody here walk me through it? I just dont want to screw up our current Exchange database. I would like to try 2 seperate things: a restore of a mailbox, and the whole information store.

I know that I need to create a recovery storage group, but thats about it. I dont know if I'm supposed to add the current database to that group, or if that means it will overwrite that database? If anybody could give me some info on the whole process I would appreciate it.

I would like to do the exact same thing, but am unsure of the exact details of this type of restore.  I did, however, find this document at Symantec support:
