Exchange Backup--Stating Circular Logging--But It's Not

razor

Hello--

We just purchased the remote agent for Exchange and I have been making all of the changes to Exchange that BEWS error logs have been saying are present on Exchange.

The last one is, "Incremental and differential backups are not possible, because MS Exchange is configured for Circular Logging".

We turned off the circular logging, and we are not doing incremental, but FULL backups with reset bits and we are still getting this error.

Please help.

1)The backup type for exchange is specified in the exchange tab of the job properties and it should be like
Full - database and logs (flush commited logs)

2)Select the entire Information store for backup

3)also try with windows backup utility
Start | Run | ntbackup

Do you have a front end exchange that is configured for circular logging.

Are you sure you are using the BE Agent ?

No, and Yes.

hi,

We suggest you to reboot the server. Take the backup using NTbackup. Then take full and incremental backup using BEWS.

Hi,

Kindly let us know if the issue persists.

Also, to be sure the change from Circular logging has been made, did you verify the Exchange services were restarted?
