Exchange Public Folder Backup Fails

We recently installed version 10d (an upgrade from version 8) and are now unable to backup our Exchange Public Folders. Part way through the backup the Backup Exec Job service fails with the event log reporting "The instruction at "0x7c8324b" referenced memory at "0x00000000"." We use backup to disk folders and these backups worked properly using version 8. In addition, local drive, SQL Server and Exchange Private Folder backups all work correctly so the problem is isolated just to Exchange Public Folders.

Any ideas?

Some further information.

The server is running Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 and has all updates installed.

What is the version of Exchange that you are using?
