Exchange Restore to PST on a different server

We have one backup server / tape library that is basically spending all the available production time backing up our Exchange stores. We have another server / tape library that is used for other backup jobs but has some "downtime" on it as well. I found the article about redirecting Exchange Restores to PST ( http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH191622  ) and attempted to restore a contact from a tape that was backed up on the primary exchange server and restore it to a local drive on the second backup server but am getting an error code: 0xe0009b61:  (BE could not log on to the server with the ...  ).  This second server does not have any BE agents installed in our Exchange environment.

Is BE trying to contact the Exchange DAG even though the restore is redirected to the local pst or is there something I'm missing?

Additionally, I have 32 bit Outlook 2010 installed on the secondary server that I'm doing the restore from. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It is a requirement to have the Agent for Windows installed on the server to which the redirect restore is pointed to.  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH183123

also make sure the System logon account is in the format of 'Domain Name\User name'. http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH199797
