I'm setting up a large backup job (for us) and am trying to pare down the total amount of data to be backed up. I'd like to avoid backing up the $NtUninstall and similar folders in the \Windows and \Winnt folders on my servers, so I've manually added a line to the Text portion of the job's Selections for each server:
\\\C:\WINNT\$*.* /SUBDIR/EXCLUDE or
\\\C:\WINDOWS\$*.* /SUBDIR/EXCLUDE
Will this do the job properly, or are there issues likely to arise from doing something like this?
