 Hello ,

We recentrly upgraded out Backup Exec 2012 to SP3 both the media server and the agents. After the upgrade we are getting a backup job failed, though data were backed up, with the following log. I read the TECH184002 and in one server there is a san storage attached. But on the other two there isn't. Is there a solution for this?

Thank you

Hello John,

There is another internal technote associated to it (TECH215414.. It would be public soon).

I'd request you to check the following:

1. Turn off or run a Verify job as a separate job after the backup job.
2. If Simplified Disaster Recovery(SDR) option is turned on then run the job without it.

Whatever be the result of it(job completes or fails), please open a case with us and refer the error along with TECH215414 along with Etrack Number 3447888 so that we could diagnose the issue further.

Hello Siddhant,

I only had the chance to test 2 of the backup jobs with SDR disabled. It seems that it worked.

I will try this on the other 2 servers and then I will open a case as you recommended.

Will there be a solution in order to re-enable the SDR option?

Thanks

Yes John, there would be a solution for it. It would take some time though. You opening a case with us would ensure that you get a solution first.

In the mean time, you might also want to work with the first option. If you disable verify or run a verify after the job completes then perhaps that can help you keep the SDR option ON.
