Failing to restore exchange 2003 datastore using BE 9.1

 Hi all,
the disk with the datastore of our Exchange Server 2003 failed tonigt. So Exchange (that is installed on the mirrored systemdrive) starts successfully but the datastore cannot be mounted.
Trying to restore the Mailboxes from Backup Exec 9.1 also fails with the error 'Unable to attach to one of the drives'. Examinig the log I think this happens when trying to access '\\<Servername>\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes'
Anyone got an idea, how I can restore the complete datastore (instead of individual mailboxes)?

You need to restore the information store not the mailboxes.
Exchange Must be up and funtional. So create a storage group with the same name as before and point it back to the drives that failed. Once the "blank" store is fuctional dismount it and mark it for overwrite, then restore the information store ...not the mailboxes.

Hello,

Please check the Symantec Article:

If you want to restore the complete database, go to exchange System manager and mark the database as "This Database Can Be Overwritten By Restore"
