Fixed Failed GRT Backups!!!! (on both 2k3 and CCR 2k7 server) Turn off AOFO for the GRT backups!

Symptoms:

Info Stores would back up fine without GRT turned on.  Both servers

GRT on = 2k7 server cluster errors for failed vss writer and access denied to info store.  2k3 server would complete successfully but not be able to drill into individual mailboxes or restore data.

Both servers took a long time to "update catalogs" with GRT turned on.

This is how I fixed it:

If you have GRT turned on TURN OFF AOFO......Viola it worked! Granular restore / drill down works like a champ and backups complete quickly.

I hope this helps other people, I've seen a lot of the same issues on this board!

My AOFO is turned off, but this issue still persists.  By the way is AOFO needed at all if all you are backing up is Exchange 2007 CCR cluster ?  Thanks.
