HP DAT 72 Tape Drive

Any idea why Backup EXEC can not see a HP DAT 72 tape drive? This is a new install on a new HP server. Is there a driver I need to download?

Have you downloaded and run the latest TapeInst utility from Veritas?
Have you downloaded and installed the latest driver from the drive manufacturer?

Make sure you have installed the latest VERITAS drivers.


Steps:

1) Open tapeinst. (its in the BE instalaltion directory,need not download).

Location: C:\programfiles\veritas\Backupexec\Nt)

2) Run this utility and choose 1st option to install veritas drivers.

Make sure you reboot the server once.
