How do I get licences for 2010

I have a server with BE 12.5. I have built a new server and want to install BE 2010. I cannot use the 12.5 licences with 2010. How do I get new licences? Do I need to buy?

Please contact Customer Care for the licenses. If you have an active support maintenance contract, you are eligible for a free upgrade to the latest version.

Hello there,

   Yes the BE 12.5 Licenses will not work with BE 2010. So you will have to get new licenses from Symantec. If you already have a contract with Symantec then you can check with Licensing department if you are eligible for free upgrade.

If you have renew MA Symantec every year, you can visit at this site that you have registered for you license and click got new update software.

Hi,

Whenever you are ready to install but don't have yet received the corresponding license,

remember you can use BE in eval mode for 60 days from install date. (simply don't give license at install time).

When you finally got appropriate license, just enter it  (you don't have to loose you job, neither need to reinstall BE).

contact the licensing team. If you have valid maintenance, they will send you the notification ID for 2010. I believe the license key is already included so registration is just an option.
