How to Backup Hitachi NAS 3080

Hello, today we have an Media Server Bex 2010 running on 2003. To this Media Server attached is an IBM TS3100 Libary.
Today we Backup with the NDMP Option an Netapp Filer over LAN. The Company will now buy an HDS NAS 3080 system.
Now my question: Is it Possible to backup with the Mediaserver and NDMP the HDS Storage over the LAN or what must i do or buy?
Or exists another way to backup the HDS Storage?

 You need to familiarize yourself with the compatibility lists, both for hardware and software.  All your answers lie within.

From what I recall, ONLY NetApp, EMC, and IBM NAS devices are supported in BackupExec in regards to NDMP.  It's been like this for as long as I can remember.  

You'll need to backup the CIFS shares themselves, which is REALLY REALLY slow.  You should upgrade to NetBackup to support that new device, contact your local Symantec rep or reseller and tell them you want NetBackup, there are upgrade part numbers. ;)
