Hello,
We have a Terastation attached to our network. It is not joined to the domain.
I'm trying to back it up to tapes, but can't find a way to do it. When I specify the location in user defined selection, it doesn't take any details and allow me to log in. When i joined the Terastation to domain, it still does not take any details. I tried using domain\user, user, terastation\terauser, terauser and nothing works. I mapped the terastation to the server backup exec is installed on and still nothing.
How to do it, any ideas? Do I need to have a license to backup NAS?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I finally managed to resolve the problem, without the license, if it is actually required...
1. Create a User defined location pointing to the NAS
2. Try to access it using default login details (it fails)
3. From the account list selet the one needed for terastation and make it a default account
4. Works fine!
Thank you for all you help itsmeaffinity.

Although a remote agent licence is not required from a software point of view, it is still required from a legal view-point, you need to have a remote agent licence to backup a remote server, regardless of whether you need to install the remote agent.
