How to Backup system state of hidden W2K3 from the network

I am using backup Excec 9.1 SP2.

Due to security, the W2K3 servers are hidden form the network browser list.

Is still possible to backup the system state of a W2K3 server if you cannot see it on the network using remote selections and microsoft windows network ?

Hi Amo,

I would not suggest you are doing much for security by doing this.

However, try using the "text mode" selection window, and see if you can add the server names here.

Hello,

If the servers are hidden from the Network neighbourhood, then they will not be visible in Backup Exec selection list.
However you may try backing them up using User Defined Selections and verify the results. Refer the following technote.
