How to configure email notifications

This smay seem a simple thing to most of you but i have been trying to resolve this issue for some time. When my server encounters an issue ie: media insert it will fire out emails to inform you of the fact that it requires attention but it does offer you the nice option or replying to the mail with the options below.

(Server: "FINANCIAL1") (Job: "Financial Tape Backup-Financial GFS Backup Policy-Monthly Backup") Please insert overwritable media into the drive.

Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media.

Respond Yes to acknowledge.
Respond No to retry the operation.
Respond Cancel to cancel the operation.

This is all very helpfull if you could reply to the server my question is how?

My server is Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition R2 SP2 running backup exec 12.5 rev 2213 any ideas on the way to configure this to work would be of great help as the odd time that it does go wrong a hudred emails on my iphone does get very tiresome.

Hi

I never thought about reply to that via e-mail. :D
Is this really possible?
In my opinion this is the information on how you can respond to the alert in the managment console.
I also did not find any information about how you can respond through mail.

Perhaps someone knows if and how this works.
