How to install the SQL Agent on a remote computer?

Hi,

I just setup our new backup server with Backup Exec 10 including the exchange and MS SQL agent. I'd like to backup a remote system, containing a MS SQL database.
Will I have to install the SQL agent on the system, where MS SQL is running, too?

Not on the SQL server no. You need to install the SQL Agent license onto the Backup Exec media server, but that just unlocks the functionality from the software, rather than being a piece of software you need to install. You do however need to install the remote agent onto the SQL server as with all other remote servers.
