How to make Exchange Server 2007 backups with Veritas agent to Veritas Backup Exec Media Server on Windows server 2000?

Is it possible to do backups from  Exchange Server 2007 with installed Veritas agent to Veritas Backup Exec Media Server on Windows Server 2000 with SCSI tape drive? Aslo we are not planning to upgrade or change this server with other device or OS.
The Exchange 2007 Management Console requires Verita Backup Exec Media server, but EMC is possible to install only on Windows Server 2003/XP/2008. 
Is there some solutions how to solve this problem?
Please, help us ASAP!

As per http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/288777

You need to install the Microsoft Exchange 2007 Management Tools (requirement) as such you will need a newer operating system on your media server to do this.

Also I hope you mean Symantec Backup Exec as the versions of Backup Exec that were branded as "Veritas" don't support Exchange 2007 at all.

Yes, this is Symantec Backup Exec. We can't change or upgrade Windows server 2000 Operating System for this Media Server. Maybe there is other advice or solution? Anybody know?
