I applogize for this akward question, but I have a problem in understanding how to backup Exchange the right way.
I have server with Exchange 2003 with Exchange agent and I'd like to have two jobs. One making backup from system (everything except Exchange) with AOFO, second job that makes backup from information store. In principle everything works, but one message in the event log makes me doubt, that I do everything right.
When I do system backup I still find "Exchange VSS Snapshot metadata document has been collected. " That's strange because I do not have selected any files that belongs to Exchange, or at least I thought so. I didn't select the log and edb files but I selected the other Exchange program files.
So I am wondering what further files belong to Exchange and should not be selected.
Can anybody give me a hint?
