IDR fails on Windows SBS 2003

Jan_Gunnar_Dyrs
Not applicable
I get the following error when trying to run IDR on my Windows 2003 SB server (I use Backup Exec for SBS 10.0):

The following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section with key "sp1.cab."

Setup cannot continue. To quit setup, press F3.

I think the same problem may be issued for Windows 2000 servers on this page: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/251758.htm

Is there a fix to this issue for Windows SBS 2003 also?

Regards,
Jan Gunnar

Hi,

When performing an IDR restore operation with IDR bootable media, the setup portion of the Windows 2000/Windows 2003 recovery may fail with this error if the IDR bootable media was created using a Windows 2000/2003 Service Pack Integrated CD.

Backup Exec's IDR process was initially designed and tested with standard Windows CDs. As a result, the .SIF (Setup Installation File) included with Backup Exec does not correctly function when used with files from Service Pack integrated CDs.

If this error is encountered, a disaster recovery will need to be performed without the use of IDR or a non-SP integrated CD will ahve to be used to create image.
