Incremental backup issue

Hi,

Our strategy consists of a full backup weekly and daily incremental. Yesterday we noticed that the incremental backups only copy the new folders (NTFS structure) but not their content. However, a full backup copy everything and works OK, copy NTFS structure with its contents (jpg and pdf files)

Any help will be apreciated.

I guess you are taking backup of DFS data, in the selection list select data through Shadow Copy

EDIT: Have you checked the full backup, is data getting backed up ?

yes! If the backup type is Full using archive bit (reset archive bit) o Full (Copy Files) the files are backed up...

Is the Incremental Backup Job configured with "Archive Bit" option.?

Yes, the job configuration says Incremental - using archive bit (reset archive bit).

I do a lot other incremental backups all work well...is something very rare...

Incremental backups only backs up files with the archive bit on when using the archive bit method or if the files are modified after the last full or incremental backup.  You can go to the directories and check the modified dates of the files or whether their archive bit is on by issuing this command.
