Invalid Physical Volume Library Argument.

Hello,

I'm having problems making backups with BE v10.0d (v10.1 rev. 5629).

BE is installed on a W2003 terminal server SP1 with most recent updates/SP's installed, both Microsoft and Veritas. The backup device is a HP Storageworks Ultrium 460 (prod.nr. Q1518A). I'm using the HP driver, hplto.sys v1.0.2.0.

Before the problems, BE was working just fine. No hardware changes are applied. I suspect a sudden reboot of the machine is the cause of my problems.

The error:

Storage device "HP 1" reported an error on a request to query entity information.
Error reported:
Invalid Physical Volume Library Argument.
V-79-57344-34036 - An unknown error has occurred.

I've already tried to apply actions suggested in Veritas support document 254014, but I cannot find the BEDB_DAT.bak file needed for the procedure. The error 'Error: The database base file does not exist.' appears, when trying to rebuild the SQL database with beutility.

I've also removed and rebuilt the library in computer management.

Creating a backup with ntbackup works OK.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Regards,

Does BackupExec use MSDE or a MSSQL instance?
