Issue with Backup Exec - Help

Hi Guys,

We have been constantly getting the following error code for the past few weeks which is causing our backups to fail.

I have googled without any luck. It appears as though when the error occurs none of the remote servers on the network are being backed up and returning the same error code. But when the remote servers are backed up it is still returning the same error code as the issue.

The most recent log for backup is as follows:

Job ended: Tuesday, 17 October 2006 at 5:59:31 AM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xffff9898 - 0xa0009898 (2684393624)

Final error category: Other Errors

Anyone seen this issue before or know of what may be the fix? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

What is the data that you are backing up?

Is it a remote or a local server

Could you please paste the exact error as in the job log?

Are there any errors in the system and application event logs?
