I have a three stand alone servers running Win2k sp4 and Bacup exec 9.1 and Active Directory.
When the job completes , I get the following exceptions:

"Backup - \\Servername1\C: Dell ServerUnable to open the item \\Servername1\C:\WINNT\system32\CPL.CFG - skipped.
Backup - \\Servername2\C: Local DiskUnable to open the item \\Servername2\C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\NTUSER.DAT - skipped.
Backup - \\Servername2\System?State Unable to open the item \\Servername2\System?State\Registry\default - skipped.
Unable to open the item \\Servername2\System?State\Registry\SAM - skipped.
Unable to open the item \\Servername2\System?State\Registry\SECURITY - skipped.
Unable to open the item \\Servername2\System?State\Registry\software - skipped.
Unable to open the item \\Servername2\System?State\Registry\system - skipped."

Any Idea how to clear these exceptions?

Hello,

Are you using advanced open file option?

You can upgrade to BE v9.1 4691 SP3.

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 - Service Pack 3

No, We don't have the advanced open file option installed.

Will the application of BE v9.1 4691 SP3 and/or AOFO correct this issue?

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

Do you get the error message on all the three servers? It can occur if you are trying to backup i'n use' files without using the Advanced open files option.

Try AOFO and SP3 and check if the problem persists. If it does, revert with details.
