Job Setup GUI

In the Job Setup GUI the only information I have is in the Backup Selection List. The other two Jobs and Backup Job Templates are empty they cannot be expanded. I can create a new job and set all relevant fields, selections, media pools, schedule etc and the Job then appears in the Job Monitor but nothing in Jobs. It's build 4454 running on W2K SP4.

Run Beutility.exe from the Veritas directory and use the database options to repair the database and rebuild the indices. That should be your first step, there are other database tricks that others have mentioned on the boards here.

As a preliminary step, upgrade to Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691

Then apply SP2. Download and install Backup Exec v9.1 Service Pack 2 from the following link:

# Update all agents/options on all remote systems.
