Jobs DIsappeared

All my Backup jobs disappeared, from both the Job Setup and Job Monitor screens.  The daily backup job ran fine yesterday, today nothing ran and all the jobs (about 25  of them) have disappeared.  How can I restore them without recreating them manually?  And how can I prevent this from happening again?

Have you tried a Database Repair?  See http://support.veritas.com/docs/265180
 
If that doesn't help, and if the Restore Selections pane still lets you select, look foro BEDB.BAK in the \Data directory.  Recover the database from that file http://support.veritas.com/docs/268315   (from before the troubles) and you should be good to go
