Library Expansion Option

Does Backup Exec 10.d come with one library expansion option?

We recently upgraded from Backup Exec 8.6 where we had 1 library expansion option but we were allowed to use 2 different media devices without throwing any alert messages. Using the same configuration while upgrading to 10.d we are throwing alert messages saying we are over the library expansion limit.

Out of the box, BackupExec supports one library with one tape device. All additional tape devices require one LEO each. ie three devices requires two LEOs

This should have been the way that v8.6 acted also, don't know why it didn't.

I guess I have something configured wrong. I have 1 device but 2 drives on that device. I have installed an extra library expansion but it still flags an alert about being out of compliance.

Tech support had me unistall the one library expansion option and then reapply it. I guess something weird happened to it during the first installation because it is working now.

So yes you did answer my question for me that you do indeed get 1 free library expansion with your software,

Thank you.
