I am running Backup Exec 10 on one of my servers running Windows Server 2003.  Backup exec started having issues with starting the services and I couldn't get it to do anything.  So, I uninstalled it and need to reinstall it....... my problem is that I didn't write down my license key.  How can I get this info so I can reinstall backup exec??  Thanks for any help.

Look for the file BESERNUM.XML in the

..\BackupExec\Data directory

If you deleted the install directory. inventory and catalog the latest tape in NTBackup and restore from that

I looked under Veritas\backup exec\NT\data.  Nothing by that file name.  I had to restore the directory from a tape.  There was no "data" directory under the "backup exec" folder.

Sorry, for v10x, the path is

C:\Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT
